Rising Employee Expectations on Societal Issues

Employees’ expectations of their employers have only grown over time, in part as trust in public institutions has lessened over the past two decades.

In Edelman's latest Trust Barometer, employees' belief that prospective employers will join them in taking action on societal issues (67%) is nearly as high as their expectations of personal empowerment (74%) and job opportunity (80%). This moment presents an opportunity for employers to lead from the front.
